Perhaps all smartphones should now come with a warning that snapping selfies could prove hazardous to your health, or even kill you. Here we are with another case of a man killing himself by accident, as he jumped on the idea of snapping a selfie with a gun. While this is not the first photo that the 43-year old man had snapped of himself with a gun, unfortunately, it proved to be his last.
This was because he snapped a selfie with what he thought was an unloaded gun. Certainly such mistakes could have been avoided if the basics were adhered to, such as making sure that a gun is not loaded, or if it is, then ensuring that the safety remains on. Hence, the death will be investigated as accidental, according to the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office.
This is not the first instance of a person killing himself or herself by accident while snapping a selfie with a gun, as a teen was killed in a similar manner last year, in the same way as that of a lady and another man one more year back. In other words, it looks like more people die while snapping selfies compared to shark attacks. In fact, the Russian police are well aware of selfie deaths, having issued a warning concerning the matter already.
