Turns out the announcement came a lot earlier than expected because Microsoft has since launched pre-orders for the Lumia 650. Customers interested in picking up the handset for themselves will now be able to do so via the Microsoft Store where they will be able to purchase the handset for $200 outright.
According to Microsoft’s website, they have also listed the handset as being available on the 1st of April, so if you order now you’ll have to wait a little over 2 weeks before you will be able to get your hands on it. The handset will feature a 5-inch HD display and under the hood, a Snapdragon 212 chipset can be found.
The phone will also come with an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and will also come with Windows 10 Mobile preinstalled. This isn’t a particularly high-end handset but reports have suggested that the Lumia 650 could very well be the last Lumia for 2016 (or ever), presumably with Microsoft transitioning to its rumored Surface Phone.
