When Marvel launched Daredevil on Netflix last year, it proved to be a huge hit. The same success was found with Jessica Jones, another Marvel show on Netflix that has since been renewed for a second season. This is two out of four Marvel TV series that are expected to debut on Netflix, and coming up next is Luke Cage whose character actually appears in Jessica Jones.
So the question is, when can we expect the TV series to make its debut? It is widely accepted that it will be released later this year, and now we finally have a date. Speaking at the premiere of Daredevil season 2, Luke Cage’s actor Michael Colter apparently told reporters that Luke Cage will be making its debut on Netflix come September 30.
Colter was quoted as saying, “Its going to be action packed from the beginning to the very end. Trust me. Daredevil premieres March 18, and I will see the fans on September 30.” Once Luke Cage has been launched, we suppose the next show we can look forward to is Iron Fist, the fourth Marvel series on Netflix (some say Punisher is a possible fifth in Marvel and Netflix’s collaboration).
Last we heard, the actor for Iron Fist has already been cast in the form of Finn Jones of Game of Thrones fame. It’s all pretty exciting but for now, we guess what we’re really looking forward to would be Daredevil season 2 which will debut on the 18th of March.
