“Never say never”, and “famous last words” would be two very phrases that are extremely applicable to Kanye West, after the music superstar boasted that one will never, ever be able to obtain his latest studio album known as ‘The Life of Pablo’ on anywhere else other than music streaming service Tidal. Well, perhaps that boast might hold true as an album on the whole, but one can already pick up “Famous” and “I Love Kanye” on non-Tidal services as shared earlier this morning.
My album will never never never be on Apple. And it will never be for sale… You can only get it on Tidal.

Apart from Spotify, Apple Music and Google Play Music, it seems that both of these tracks are also going to be made available on the likes of Rhapsody and the recently introduced Soundcloud Go. So far, The Life of Pablo had done pretty well for itself, having been streamed 250 million times on Tidal within the first 10 days alone, and it remains to be seen if the album would continue to remain a Tidal exclusive.
Perhaps releasing all songs individually on other music streaming services as opposed to an actual album by itself would circumvent and back up West’s promise? You know, technicalities and all that jazz. I suppose at the end of the day, it would be money that speaks the loudest, and who would not want a dollar more than what they already have at the moment?
