Kanye West’s latest album was launched as a Tidal exclusive. Soon after the launch, the singer declared that his album will only be available exclusively from Tidal and won’t be available through any other service. A couple of days ago one track from the album titled The Life of Pablo was made available for streaming on Apple Music and Spotify, and a new report claims that the entire album will soon be available on Spotify and Apple Music.
Re/code reports that Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo is going to be available on Spotify and Apple Music tomorrow. There’s no confirmation of this from the singer himself yet.
One industry source mentioned in the report says “that’s what we understand to be the case,” referring to the possibility of the latest album arriving on these two major music streaming services.
Spotify has more than 30 million subscribers while Apple Music has broken the 10 million mark. Both services represent the bulk of the music streaming audience combined so West’s music will certainly fall on a lot more ears if and when it arrives on these services.
However, since it’s Kanye West we’re talking about here, we can’t really be sure until it actually happens. Keep your fingers crossed if you’re a Kanye fan who subscribes to Spotify or Apple Music.
