For months, Apple has been testing and previewing the next update for iOS 9. The company said at its even today that iOS 9.3 is actually the biggest “dot” update that it has ever developed. iOS 9.3 does bring several new features for supported devices and makes overall improvements. Apple has released iOS 9.3 for supported iPhones and iPads today, the updating is rolling out now across the globe.

Night Shift is a new addition in this update. It allows the display to automatically adjust display color to the warmer end of the spectrum so as to reduce blue light. Studies have shown that reducing blue light when using mobile devices at night can help some people sleep better.

Also included in this update is the ability to protect notes with Touch ID. Your ideas and notes remain safe and secure, only you can access them by verifying your identity using the fingerprint scanner under the home button. The Apple News app has been updated as well with an improved focus on content discovery.

iOS 9.3 also brings an updated CarPlay experience which provides a better mapping and music experience when using the iPhone in the car. This is probably going to be the last significant update for iOS 9.3 as Apple gears up to unveil its next major iOS upgrade at Worldwide Developers Conference 2016 later this year in the summer.
