HTC has gradually been teasing new features that we will be seeing in its new flagship smartphone. It’s believed to be called HTC 10 and from what we’ve seen so far, it’s going to be quite different than its predecessor. HTC has sent out another teaser today which hypes up the “boom” sound credentials of its new flagship smartphone. This teaser seems to do away with rumors that the new handset will not include front-facing BoomSound speakers that have been present on its flagships in the past.

It’s possible that HTC might keep the BoomSound speakers around but it just might implement that technology in a different way. The imagery in this teaser itself shows a row of five pill-shaped holes which appear to be a speaker grille though the individually machined holes up to are proving to be a bit puzzling.

HTC’s new flagship smartphone is expected to feature a 5.2 inch Quad HD display with a new Super LCD 5 panel, it may even have the same 12-megapixel camera found on the Nexus 6P, aside from the Snapdragon 820 processor and a 3,000mAh battery.

The company has already confirmed that it’s not going to conduct a full-fledged launch event for the HTC 10. Instead, it’s going to conduct an online-only launch on April 12th, so you just need to visit HTC’s website on that day to find out what it has got in store.
