The asking price of $156,000 would certainly place the Acura NSX supercar to be beyond what most folks are able to afford, but this has not stopped Acura officials from feeling optimistic about the brand. Acura’s brand chief in the U.S., Jon Ikeda, shared, that the NSX “is exactly the representation of what we’re trying to do. We need to create an overall experience that’s as exciting as this car.”
It seems that the Acura NSX could be fighting against the perception of a space where the likes of Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Lexus occupy at the moment. The new NSX is not all about looks, but also comes packed with technology as it makes use of a hybrid system that relies on electric motors alongside a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine and a “torque vectoring” system that kicks in as and when required.
