All Hitman Episodes To Be Released By End Of Summer

August 25th, 2012 @ 06:04:36While IO Interactive’s Hitman was originally designed to be released as a full game, earlier this year the company announced that they would be switching it to an episodic release, with the idea being that an episodic release would allow them to pay attention to every episode to ensure quality, versus looking at it from a macro perspective.

Earlier this month we learnt that there will be seven episodes ahead of its retail release, and the good news for gamers is that you won’t have to wait too long to play all the titles. According to IO Interactive, they have recently confirmed that they are planning on releasing all the Hitman episodes by the end of summer.

Granted we still have several months to go, but we guess at least now we have a timeframe to look forward to, as opposed to before where we could very well end up waiting until the end of the year. For those unfamiliar with the episodic nature of the game, basically each episode is priced separately, but gamers can opt to purchase it all at once for $60 and receive them as they come.

The first episode has already been released, so we guess gamers can start looking forward to newer episodes in the coming weeks. The next episode is slated for April and will be set in Italy. In the meantime the disc version of the game has been pushed to 2017.
