It seems that Google has recently updated its Google Hangouts app where it is now able to record and share video clips of up to 60 seconds in length. This update brings the app version to 8.0 and at the moment, it seems that it appears to be an iOS-exclusive feature right now. We’re not sure why it is exclusive to iOS, but hopefully the feature will make its way to Android soon.
In addition to increasing the length of video attachments, the latest update will also address some bugs like fixing an unread conversation when you have been in a call, and also fixing an issue where the “Ok, got it” button has been stuck for some users. There is also added support for Google for Work – Mobile Management.
If this sounds like an update you might be interested in, you will be able to get your hands on it by heading on over to the iTunes App Store. Like we said, we have no idea when the Android version will get those features (if at all), but we’ll keep an eye out for it all the same.
