With the Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung has made some pretty huge changes and improvements to its camera. For starters it packs a 12MP sensor and a pretty wide aperture of f/1.7, making it quite a beast in low-light conditions. It also has phase detection autofocus and based on our initial review of the handset, the camera of the phone is very impressive indeed.
However the question is, how will it fare against the iPhone 6s? Apple’s iPhones are known for their camera quality (not necessarily the best of the best, but still pretty good), so with the iPhone 6s’ 12MP f/2.2 camera, will it be pretty obvious that the Galaxy S7 will edge out their competitor when it comes to photos?
Turns out that’s exactly what happens, thanks to a recent video uploaded by SuperSaf TV. In the video above, SuperSaf TV compares the image quality taken by the Galaxy S7 versus that of the iPhone 6s. Like we said, the iPhone 6s is no slouch when it comes to image quality, but it is clear that in the shootout comparison, the Galaxy S7 pulls ahead, especially in the low-light department in which it is obvious which camera is the clear winner.
However when it comes to normal photos, that’s where it boils down to personal preference. Apple’s photos tend to come out a bit warmer, while Samsung’s are cooler. This can always be adjusted and tweaked in various photo editing apps so that really isn’t an issue. In any case if you’re curious about the camera comparison, do check out the video above for the details.
