If you are one of the lucky ones who pre-ordered their Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge early and have since gotten their hands on it, you might want to keep an eye out for an update that will be headed your way. It seems that Samsung has issued a very small, but apparently urgent update that you will probably want to take a look at.
The update itself weighs in at 3.32MB and according to the screenshot of the update’s notification, it seems to have to do with the Edge’s screen. It is unclear as to what exactly this update will address, but some have speculated that it could have to do with making more apps compatible with the handset’s side display.
There are also some who speculate that the update could address sensitivity issues with the display. There have been some users who claim that the edge display can be a bit too sensitive and tends to get activated by accident when users are just holding their devices, which ultimately can lead to mistaken launches of apps and also battery drain.
Either way we guess whatever the issue is, this update will take care of it so keep an eye out for the notification when it arrives if you’d like to avoid any potential problems with your phone.
