T-Mobile has also released their update last month, but we guess better late than never. The update for Sprint’s Galaxy S6 is the same as the one rolled out to the unlocked version of the phone, so users shouldn’t expect anything different, just the same Marshmallow goodness that Google announced last year.
According to the changelog, it points out that there is no decryption option for Android 6.0, so users should probably decrypt their phone before the update if they are fine with that. The update also weighs in about 1.2GB so obviously you’ll want to be connected to a WiFi connection, lest you end up blowing through your data plan, and also remain connected to a charger so that your phone doesn’t die halfway while updating.
We expect that the update will be rolled out in stages, so if you don’t see the notification right now, don’t worry as you should be able to expect it in the coming days or weeks.
