Xbox One got the backwards compatibility feature last year, developers who support the feature allow gamers to play those titles that were only released for Xbox 360 on the Xbox One. Dozens of games have received backwards compatibility support in just a few months and today the original Dark Souls and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 have joined that list.
There’s good news for people who want to play the original Dark Souls game but don’t own a copy on the Xbox 360. The title is available for free to those who pre-order the upcoming Dark Souls 3 game so they’ll get to play it as an incentive for pre-ordering the new title.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Dark Souls are both available now from Games on Demand so it’s possible to purchase them even if you didn’t own the disc version. Just this past week GRID 2 and Assassin’s Creed also joined the list of backwards compatible games for Xbox One.
just like you would purchase an Xbox One gameA new software update is rolling out for the Xbox One today which makes it easier to purchase Xbox 360 games on the console itself. You can buy Xbox 360 games on Xbox One just like you would purchase an Xbox One game so that makes the entire experience of getting backwards compatible game on the current-gen console much easier.
