Earlier this month Microsoft previewed a new update for Xbox One which will enable everybody to buy Xbox 360 games on Xbox One. The update also brings a few other features that include 16-person party chat and overall improvements. The update has started rolling out today which means that you can now buy Xbox 360 games on Xbox One once you’ve got this update on your console.
This update brings all of the features that preview program members have been using for a couple of weeks. Following this update, you will be able to purchase backwards compatible Xbox 360 games on the current-gen console the same way that you would purchase Xbox One titles.
Other features include 16-person party chat across both Xbox One and the Xbox app. Xbox One users will also be able to broadcast party chat when using the Twitch app. They can also include party members on Windows 10 PCs in their Twitch broadcast.
There are a few additions in this update that were not included in the preview. There’s improved thumbstick precision for the Xbox Elite wireless controller and an updated Xbox Accessories app for Windows 10. The latest system update has started rolling out today for Xbox One and the Xbox app.
