Ubisoft’s announcement was made during AMD’s GDC press conference, and Ubisoft also announced that they will be producing this VR experience with Fox and Practical Magic. Now before you get too excited and think that this will be a virtual reality version of an Assassin’s Creed game, we’re afraid we must disappoint you.
Practical Magic’s VR and director of VR experience Matthew Lewis has clarified that this VR experience is not a game. Instead based on what he said, it sounds like it could be some kind of film. Apparently the footage for the experience was filmed alongside the Assassin’s Creed movie, so we’re guess it’s probably just some footage.
According to Ubisoft spokesperson, Michael Beadle, “We’re excited about the announcement of the Assassin’s Creed VR Experience and we look forward to working with New Regency, Fox and Practical Magic to share more in the future.”
