It used to be that going to watch a movie was about buying a ticket and heading to the cinema. Sure, you might have some promotions going on where you might be able to pick up a special cup, hat, or t-shirts that are based around the movie, but it seems that these days movie studios are coming up with creative ways of selling tickets.
In a recent blog post by Ubisoft, the company has announced that those interested in watching the Assassin’s Creed movie will be able to pre-order tickets ahead of the movie’s release. There are various packages that moviegoers can pre-order, with the most expensive being the $1,200 package that actually comes with a Spanish Crossbow from Ubi Workshop (pictured above).
If that’s too expensive for your liking, there is a “cheaper” $500 pre-order bundle that will come with a limited edition status of Aguilar that according to Ubisoft, is hand-finished and hand-painted. There is also a $100 bundle that comes with a Ubi Workshop official Assassin’s Creed hoodie, which we have to admit looks pretty cool. There is also a $60 option that comes with a Hidden Blade toy that might come in handy for cosplayers; a $25 option that comes with a t-shirt; and a $15 option that comes with a collector’s watch and temporary tattoos.
Note that all pre-orders will give players a ticket to the movie, a digital copy of the script which will be released on the day the movie is out (21st December, for those who forgot), and access to behind-the-scenes extras. So far it has been indicated that the movie is extremely promising and that apparently a sequel has already been greenlit. More information on the movie’s pre-orders can be found on Kernel’s website.
