The tips are sold in packs of four and will cost $19 each. Admittedly that does seem pretty expensive but since these tips do last for quite a while, you can just buy a pack and toss them in a drawer and not have to worry about replacing them anytime soon. Replacing the tip is also pretty easy and straightforward.
Just unscrew the old tip, insert the new one, and screw it back in to tighten it up. The launch of the Apple Pencil replacement tips follows Apple’s recent announcement of a 9.7-inch iPad Pro. The tablet will adopt the iPad’s original display size but will come with “Pro” capabilities, like support for the Apple Pencil, hardware that’s similar to the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, and will sport four speakers that have been strategically placed around the tablet. In the meantime the replacement tips can be found on Apple’s website.
