iphone-7-caseAssuming that Apple keeps doing what they’re doing, the iPhone 7 will sport a completely new design from the iPhone 6 and 6s. So far with every iteration of the iPhone, Apple has managed to introduce a new design that is distinctively different from before, but according to recent leaks, it seems that the iPhone 7 might not be too different.

A recent post from @OnLeaks (via 9to5Mac) has revealed an alleged case designed for the iPhone 7. From what we can tell, it looks like the case could have just as easily been designed for the iPhone 6 or 6s. The curved and rounded edges around the phone appear to be staying, but if anything the cutouts have “confirmed” the removal of the headphone port.

In fact we have heard that the iPhone 7’s removal of the headphone port could be replaced with a second speaker, and the cutouts certainly seem to suggest a dual speaker grill design. However it should be taken with a grain of salt for now, especially this early on when the iPhone 7 is only expect to be announced towards the later part of the year.

Not to mention case leaks might not necessarily be indicative of anything. Case manufacturers can sometimes get ahead of themselves by creating cases based on alleged leaks and schematics just to stay in front of the competition, a gamble that they might lose sometimes, but in the meantime should the iPhone 7 maintain a similar-ish design to its predecessor, would that be a dealbreaker for you?
