While there is a Back to the Future Day (with Lyft offering free rides on that day last year, now how about that?), as well as Star Wars Day, it seems that Officer Ripley will finally get her due with 20th Century Fox announcing that April 26th would be the official Alien Day.
What better way to celebrate one of the most recognizable and dangerous enemies in outer space than with the replica of Reebok Stompers which were worn by Ripley in the movie Alien? As for the reason for choosing April 26th as Alien Day, well, it has something to do with the ex-moon LV-426, which was the place where the xenomorphs were discovered in Ridley Scott’s Alien all those years ago.
Do expect that day to be a merchandise fest, as it will oversee the launch of a wide range of Alien merchandise, where among them include replicas of the Reebok Stompers as mentioned earlier. Of course, one can also opt to pick up the mid top version which was worn by the android known as Bishop. Unfortunately, we do not have any further details on the kind of pricing or availability of this Reebok Stompers, so do keep a keen eye out if you would like to pick up a pair!
