With the Alcatel Idol 4 Pro more or less confirmed set to being a Windows 10-based smartphone, the Idol 4 Mini on the other hand, is said to be powered by Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow. As for the Idol 4 Pro, it is touted to share the design cues of the Android-powered Alcatel Idol 4S, where it will sport a metal chassis, a 5.5” AMOLED display at Full HD resolution which should go some way in preserving the battery life.
Apart from that, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor is also said to keep the Idol Pro 4 chugging, with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal memory, and a 3000 mAh battery. Behind lies a fingerprint scanner accompanied by a 21MP camera, and right smack in front would be an 8 MP camera with LED flash.
The Alcatel Idol 4 Mini, on the other hand, is said to arrive with a 5” 720p display, and ought to have a MediaTek processor running proceedings from underneath the hood. Do expect a fingerprint scanner as well to keep up with the rest of the market, a 5MP front-facing camera, a 13MP camera at the back, and a 2400 mAh battery.
All in all, time will tell if these rumors pan out to be true.
