Samsung continues their march concerning mid-range devices with the 2016 versions of the Samsung Galaxy J5 as well as the Samsung Galaxy J7, where these two have already appeared on the company’s official Chinese website. Taking over from last year’s models, these two new handsets under the J Series will arrive with 5MP front-facing cameras with LED flashes, ensuring that selfie lovers would fall for them right from the get go.
Apart from that, both of them will also arrive with 13MP shooters that too, will be accompanied by LED flashes. Not only that, it seems as though there will be a rear speaker rather than the rumored laser auto focus. The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) will be the larger and more powerful model of the two, as it boasts of a 5.5” Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920 pixels, runs on a 1.6GHz octa-core processor, boasts of LTE connectivity, has NFC support, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, a metal body, and a 3300 mAh battery.
As for the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016), it will be smaller with a 5.2” Super AMOLED display with 720 x 1280 pixels, has a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, sports 2GB of RAM, and runs on a 3100 mAh battery. As for the rest of the features, it will be similar to its larger sized sibling. No idea on their respective prices, but chances are they will remain in the mid-range view of things.
