It has been confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be officially announced on the 24th of February. So far it has been confirmed that the handset will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, but now thanks to leaked presentation slides, additional details have been revealed about the upcoming handset.
For starters most of the information the slides are more or less in line with what we know. However the slides also revealed the existence of a second Xiaomi Mi 5. From the rumors (and confirmed by the slides), the Mi 5 will sport 32GB of storage and 3GB of RAM. However there will be an additional Mi 5 variant that will pack 64GB of storage along with 4GB of RAM.
Other details include a USB Type-C port and also the ability to charge up to 80% in about 34 minutes. It will also support dual nano SIMs and both SIMs will also play nicely with LTE. The rumors of NFC have also apparently been confirmed, along with its 5.2-inch display with a Full HD resolution, although earlier rumors did suggest a QHD screen.
The camera rumors are also a bit off. From these slides, it suggests that the phone will feature a 26MP rear-facing camera with an aperture of f/1.6, laser autofocus, and an optical image stabilization feature, all of which sounds amazing if true. Take it with a grain of salt, but check back with us next week for the details.
