Most people aren’t happy with the Wi-Fi in their home. It’s either because the modem and router combo the ISP has hooked them up with isn’t as good as they want it to be or if they’re not sure how to set up the various products available in the market to improve Wi-Fi range in the house. You’d think that the White House will be exempt from this problem, because it’s the White House after all, but you’d better think again.
President Obama has revealed that the Wi-Fi in the White House is just as sketchy as it is in your house, in an interview with CBS, pointing out some of the reasons why the Wi-Fi isn’t as it should be.
“We’ve been trying to get that straight for the next group of folks, because it is an old building, and so there’s a lot of dead spots where Wi-Fi doesn’t work,” the president revealed in his interview, his family isn’t pleased with the sketchy Wi-Fi as well, the First Lady and the couple’s daughters are equally irked by it. “The girls are just irritated by it sometimes,” said Michelle Obama.
It’s understandable why the White House has the kind of Wi-Fi that it does, it really is an old building, but given that it’s the residence of the world’s wealthiest and certainly most technologically advanced country, perhaps this shouldn’t have been a problem in the first place.
Nevertheless, we feel your pain, Mr. President.
