Last week VAIO announced their first ever Windows 10 Mobile device – the oddly-named Phone Biz. It was announced in Japan and is expected to be made available in the Japanese markets, so the question is will it arrive stateside? The bad news is that it won’t, at least according to a recent tweet by VAIO USA’s Twitter account.
Responding to questions posed by Twitter users about the phone’s availability stateside, their response reads, “At this time there are no plans to bring VAIO Phone Biz to the US.” No doubt this is a bummer, especially for users who might be looking for Windows 10 Mobile alternatives that aren’t a Lumia device, although in all honesty, the Phone Biz isn’t exactly a powerhouse, and neither does it come cheap.
However we should point out that when VAIO started selling computers again, their initial market was Japan before it eventually made its way to the US. Will this be applied to the Phone Biz? While we can’t answer with certainty, the company’s past operations has suggested that there is a possibility, but whether or not consumers will actually want the Phone Biz is an entirely different story, but what say you? Would you like to get your hands on the device?
