You’ve probably heard by now that Apple is rumored to conduct an event next month to unveil some new products. Many believe that a smaller 4 inch iPhone is going to be on the agenda alongside the iPad Air 3. We’ve been hearing about this smaller iPhone for a very long time now and at least, for now, the rumor mill is adamant that it’s going to be unveiled next month. The handset, likely to be called iPhone 5se, is said to feature an A9 processor.
The A9 processor will power the device which is said to be similar to iPhone 5S in terms of specifications though it may have a few modern tweaks such as NFC for Apple Pay and support for the Live Photos feature that was announced last year.
Apple’s 4 inch iPhone isn’t expected to feature a 3D Touch display, which would make sense, since Apple doesn’t want it to replace the flagships in its lineup. Rather the idea here seems to be to offer a robust iPhone at a competitive price point and most importantly with a 4 inch display. There are plenty of customers who’d rather stick with the 4 inch display.
It’s also said that the new iPad expected to be unveiled next month is going to feature an A9X processor, the one that debuted with the iPad Pro, and it may even have support for the Apple Pencil.
