Ubisoft has confirmed some early details about The Division DLC, it says that the development team has a complete post-launch plan to ensure that players continue to get fresh content once they’re through with the title. The Division season pass will include three expansions which will not only include new content but also new gear and new types of gameplay so that players are kept engaged with the game once they have finished the main portion of The Division.
For now, it’s not revealing the specifics of all of the new content that will be included in those expansions but it’s telling us their names, release order as well as some additional details.
The first expansion is called Underground and it will allow a squad of four players to explore new territory in post-epidemic New York City underworld. Survival is the second expansion and it’s all about trying to stay alive in a hostile environment that promises to challenge even the most hardcore players. The final expansion is aptly called Last Stand.
Those who hit the street of The Division’s New York on launch day with the season pass are going to get some additional goodies that include a sawed-off shotgun, new weapon skins and outfits. Season pass owners will also get monthly perks like exclusive content drops and events.
The Division will also get free updates which will be available to all players regardless of whether they have a season pass or not. The updates will arrive throughout the year and will be built around new game modes and cooperative challenges. The Division season pass is available now in the Gold Edition and Collector’s Edition of the title.
March 8th is when The Division will finally be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
