Last year Swiss luxury watchmaker TAG Heuer launched their first smartwatch, the TAG Heuer Connected. Unfortunately less than a month after its launch, the company suspended the sales of the device, claiming that it was due to the overwhelming demand that the company had received for the watch.
The good news is that if you have been eyeing the device, you will be pleased to learn that TAG Heuer has finally brought the device back. According to reports and sightings, it looks like the company has put the device back up for sale on its website, so if you have been meaning to get your hands on it, you will be able to by heading on over to TAG Heuer’s website.
Note that unlike most smartwatches, the TAG Heuer Connected is still considered a luxury watch. It is priced at $1,500 which puts it out of reach for many would-be smartwatch owners who might be expecting to pay anywhere between $250-$500 for such a device. However the watch is made of more premium materials, plus it has TAG Heuer’s experience in watchmaking behind it, so we guess you would be paying for that as well.
The best part is that if you decide that maybe a smartwatch isn’t for you, after 2-years, the company will allow you to trade-in the Connected for a more conventional Carrera model, so in a way you could think of the Connected as you putting a down payment the Carrera.
