So much so that many have left pretty negative reviews, giving the game a score of 6/10, which admittedly based on what we have read from the early reviews, should definitely be a lot higher. The game’s producer Yoshinori Ono has since acknowledged that the server issues are something they need to be working on.
In a tweet published online, Ono apologized for the issues. “My sincerest apologies again about SFV server situation. I think that we need to improve on this problem the most,” and also pointed gamers towards the @SFVServer Twitter account that deals with the game’s server status. According to what we are seeing, it seems that the servers aren’t 100% stable yet, but it looks like a lot of work has been done to get it back up where for the most part, it is still very playable.
We suppose it shouldn’t really be a surprise that server issues are affecting the game. After all with many games requiring an always-on connection, it is easy to see how servers can be overwhelmed, kind of like Blizzard’s Diablo 3 when it first launched and where players were encountering a host of issues. We expect that things will stabilize eventually, so in the meantime we suggest that you just remain patient.
