Street Fighter franchise fans have been anxiously waiting for the latest iteration to arrive. Capcom confirmed last month that a proper full story mode will be coming to Street Fighter 5 later this year. The story mode will be released in June and it will be available to everybody who has purchased a copy of this game. The producers of this game have revealed that the upcoming story mode will take about 2 hours to play.
Street Fighter 5 is not going to come with the proper full cinematic story mode initially but fans can rest easy knowing that one is in the pipeline and will be released in June this year.
The story mode is going to bridge together events of Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter III, placed later in the chronology of the game’s universe. The in-game cinematic sequences will run off the same 3D engine that powers the rest of the game.
Even though it’s going to be a proper story mode it won’t take players too long to complete it. Many will be able to complete it in just one sitting. Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono has confirmed that it will take between 1 to 2 hours to complete the story mode. In the video, he also talks about other challenge mode features with Tomoaki Ayano.
