stingray-photobombTaking photos with animals can be quite fun, although one should know of one’s limits – as well as that of the animal’s, otherwise you might end up being indirectly connected to the death of the animal, such as this baby dolphin recently. Well, photobombs by animals are certainly unexpected, such as this instance of a horse that resulted in a prize-winning selfie. Here we are with something that brings both land and sea creatures alike, as a man who was proposing to his girlfriend had a scuba diver behind in a tank holding the sign which reads, “Will you marry me?” while a stingray non-chalantly swam across and blocked the sign, as though it was on purpose.

I suppose you can classify this as a truly surprise engagement, and the rogue stingray has an uncanny sense of timing to show off its white underbelly that is made all the more reflective in the presence of a flash. The incident happened at the Ray Bay over at Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada in Toronto, and it seemed that not one, but every single photo of the engagement was photobombed.

It does not look as though there will be a second chance to stage such a proposal, but at least it was funny!
