In less than a week from now, Samsung is going to formally unveil the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge at its event on February 21st. Millions of people have been waiting to see what Samsung has to offer this time around. They may have to wait for a few weeks after the handsets are announced to get their hands on them. If you’re particularly impatient and have money to burn then perhaps you’d want to get in touch with someone who’s already selling the Galaxy S7.
It’s not a retailer or a reputable reseller. It’s someone on Dubizzle, Dubai’s version of craigslist, who claims to have imported models of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge from the United States and is now selling them to anybody who wishes to pick it up before the actual launch.
The box and accessories are offered with each unit as well. It does carry a premium though, the seller is asking north of $1,000 per unit for a smartphone that has traditionally not costed more than $649 off-contract and unlocked.
It goes without saying that this hasn’t been sanctioned by Samsung so there’s no guarantee that the item you purchase is actually going to be the Galaxy S7 or just an elaborate fake. If you like taking chances and don’t mind burning a thousand grand then perhaps you just go for it. Personally, I wouldn’t.
