Remedy Entertainment’s latest third-person shooter Quantum Break will be released soon. About a week ago it was confirmed that this Xbox One exclusive will also be available on Windows 10. The added advantage for PC gamers is that they can bump the resolution all the way up to 4K, provided that they have the right gaming rig. Quantum Break has now gone live on the Windows 10 Store but you can’t purchase the title just yet.
It has also been confirmed that those who pre-order Quantum Break on Xbox One will receive the Windows 10 copy of this game for free. It features Xbox integration which means players can take their story progress from PC and pick up where they left off on the Xbox One, and vice versa.
Purchasing Quantum Break on Xbox One also gives players access to Alan Wake, a title Remedy released for Xbox 360, and it’s not backwards compatible with Xbox One. There’s speculation that Remedy Entertainment might be working on an Alan Wake sequel though nothing has been confirmed yet.
Even though Quantum Break has now been listed on Windows 10 Store it’s not available for purchase just yet. The listing does mention key features of the game as well as the minimum and recommended PC specifications. Quantum Break for PC is not going to be available via Steam when it’s released because the game is exclusive to the Windows 10 Store.
Quantum Break will be released for Xbox One and PC on April 5th, 2015.
