The Pokémon franchise has definitely come a long way, where even a Pokémon gym has opened in Japan, while the older classics have been re-released in a new 3DS bundle not too long ago. Are there any more legs left in the Pokémon franchise? Apparently so, as Nintendo has just announced that Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will be the next new titles in this particular franchise, which will see a worldwide launch this coming holiday season on the Nintendo 3DS platform.
Interestingly enough, Pokémon Moon and Pokémon Sun will arrive with nine language options, going to show just how wide the appeal of the game is, and it will also include the Chinese for the very first time. The logos and trademark applications for Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon have already appeared in a European trademark database, so you can be sure that both titles are on track for a release in due time.
These also happen to be the first mainline Pokémon games since Pokémon X and Y, where the latter two were introduced on the Nintendo 3DS in 2013. Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire were actually remakes for the 3DS that enhanced 2003’s Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire which appeared on the Game Boy Advance. Are you looking forward to the new titles?
