It has been a while since HP released a smartphone and there are rumors that the company will come out with one powered by Windows 10 Mobile. This device has previously been rumored as the HP Falcon but it’s believed that the handset will come to market as the Elite X3. Purported photos and specifications of HP’s first Windows 10 Mobile smartphone have been leaked online.
The purported images come from a Hungarian source that also revealed alleged specifications of this smartphone, From the looks of it, this is going to be a proper flagship, one that can rival the best of them when it comes to specifications.
HP Elite X3 is said to feature a 5.96 inch Quad HD 2560×1440 pixel resolution display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor underneath coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. A 16 megapixel rear and 8 megapixel front camera has been rumored as well.
Additional specs include Qi wireless charging, USB 3.0 Type C, iris scanner, fingerprint scanner, IP67 rating for dust and water resistance and MIL-STD-810 rating for shock protection against drops from a height of up to 1 meter.
If all of this is true then the HP Elite X3 will certainly be the most powerful Windows 10 Mobile handsets in the market, no to mention the fact that it will also be the most rugged. It’s unclear right now when HP is going to unveil this smartphone and for how much it’s going to sell the Elite X3.
