According to the announcement, “Today we’re excited to introduce the first Oculus Ready PCs from ASUS, Alienware, and Dell! These PCs have been battle tested and certified by Oculus to deliver an incredible Rift experience.” Pre-orders for the bundles and PCs are expected to kick off next week, so they might be worth looking forward to.
So far, as pointed out by Oculus, the initial bunch of PCs will be from ASUS, Alienware, and Dell. The prices will range depending on how powerful they are, and if you feel that maybe they’re a bit too expensive, feel free to build your own based on the specs. This would also mean that you will need to buy a standalone Oculus Rift which is priced at $599.
However if you think that your PC is capable of running the Oculus Rift, then you can go ahead and download a tool from Oculus which will check your PC to see if it meets the minimum required hardware.
