I guess it makes perfect sense to say that one can never say never, as there are different instances in life where we might have to take a step which we never would have done back in our younger days, out of circumstance or being forced to. Having said that, the Moto E (2nd gen) from Motorola was said not to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in October last year, but it looks like there has been a change in plans after all – and this should keep users of the Moto E (2nd gen) more than happy.
Basically, the Motorola Moto E (2nd gen) would be picking up its Android 6.0 Marshmallow update over in India first, which is another addition to the bandwagon as the Moto G range has already been said to gain the Marshmallow treatment, in addition to the Moto X range, not to mention the Moto E (3rd gen), which makes it fitting for the Moto E (2nd gen) to obtain it as well. Since it is already out in India, do expect more markets to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow in due time, and if you are an owner of the handset, keep a keen eye out.
The update would be approximately 450MB in size, so make sure you have adequate storage space and battery life on your handset before you proceed with the installation. Looks like it is Android 6.0 Marshmallow update day in Asia today!
