Both the recently announced Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge pack decently sized batteries, although how well they fare still remains to be seen, but on paper they are about 20% bigger than their predecessors, so in theory they should last 20% longer, if not more as the Snapdragon 820 is supposed to be more efficient than older Snapdragon handsets.
However if you’d like to play it safe and avoid situations where you might run out of battery in the middle of the day, Mophie has recently taken the wraps off their new battery cases for the Galaxy S7 and the S7 Edge. As you can see, the cases bear the Designed for Samsung branding, meaning that they have been approved by the company.
The cases offer up similar battery sizes in the 3,300mAh variety, which should afford you an extra 13 hours on the phone or 11 hours of video playback. Now we know you’ve probably seen many battery cases, but what makes Mophie’s offering different is that it supports wireless charging as well, so if you do have a wireless charger, it won’t go to waste.
No word on when the new Mophie battery cases will be released, but they are expected to be priced at $99.95. For those who are interested in getting their hands on it, you can register your interest here and Mophie will inform you when it is available for purchase.
