Microsoft has announced today that a new update for Minecraft feature more gameplay elements is coming out soon. Minecraft Overworld Update is going to be released for both the Windows 10 Edition and Pocket Edition by the end of this month. The Overworld Update will enable players to make advanced mechanical contraptions for their world with additional redstone components. Comparators, repeaters, dispensers, droppers, hoppers, trapped chests and additional Minecart types will be available to players.
Witch huts found when exploring swamps will now contain a new feature, the cauldrons will be filled with a randomly generated potion that players can snag for themselves. Cauldrons can also be used to dye armor in different colors.
Additional gameplay elements new to Pocket Edition and Windows 10 Edition are slime blocks, red sandstone, wearable pumpkins and improved chicken jockey mobs. Windows 10 Edition also gets the ability to import and export maps.
The Windows 10 Edition also gets eight new achievements totaling 170 additional Xbox Gamerscore that players can get, the new achievements have been detailed on the official Xbox blog.
This latest update follows the one released this past fall which brought dozens of new features to both editions. Microosft has said that it will continue to bring new content for both the Pocket and Windows 10 Edition throughout 2016.
