Basically, this particular recall of Surface Pro power cords would concern approximately 2.25 million AC power cables, affecting all Surface Pro tablets that were sold prior to March 15th, 2015. In other words, if you are rocking to a Surface Pro 3 or earlier, then chances are pretty high that you would need to deal with a replacement. Thankfully, there has been no reports of such cables bursting into flames on its own, but this does not mean that one would throw caution to the win. After all, you might actually have the same kind of ‘luck’ as biting into a wafer-less KitKat bar, and to see any device catch flames is certainly not a pretty sight at all.
