Lumia_950XL_1The Lumia 950 XL is one of two new Windows 10 Mobile handsets launched by Microsoft last year. The device is barely half a year old but it looks like Microsoft has decided to cut its price in the US by $100, which is actually a pretty significant amount, although we can’t say for sure why there is a sudden price cut given the handset is still relatively new.

The handset is available via B&H where it is now priced at $529.95 where it is $100 down from its original price. However we should point out that B&H appears to be the only retailer that has given the phone a price cut. Other outlets like Amazon and Microsoft’s own store are still selling it above the $600 mark, so it is possible that B&H might simply be trying to clear its stock.

Prior to this, the Lumia 950 and the 950 XL both received price cuts in the UK. The price cuts were made shortly after the phones were announced that certainly did not bode well for Microsoft. However it is possible that maybe the price cuts were simply to adjust the price of the phone, and not so much a reflection of the demand of either device.

Both the Lumia 950 and 950 XL pack hardware worthy of a flagship, or an Android flagship for that matter, so in terms of performance they are both more than capable of getting the job done. In any case B&H has listed the phone as limited in supply, so you’ll want to move fast if you want to get your hands on the discounted handset.
