Haier is a brand that if you have heard of them, you might associate them with white goods like fridges, air-conditioners, and etc. However the company has dabbled in mobile products in the past, and they have also launched various wearables like smartwatches. It looks like they’re back again this year at MWC with their latest offering.
The photos above and below are that of Haier’s latest smartwatch and boy does it look good! It sports a pretty sleek design which is pretty classy too, so if you’re after a smartwatch that you could potentially wear to a form event, we reckon this will do the trick. The watch is powered by Haier’s own operating system and will pack 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, along with a 1.4-inch 400×400 display.
The full specs of the device and its features are unclear, but from what we can tell from the photos, it looks like it will sport a heart rate sensor (at least based on the green lasers on the back of the watch) and what appears to be magnetic charging capabilities, which is more or less what we’ve come to expect from wearables these days.
No word on availability yet, but in terms of pricing, apparently Haier has no plans to charge more than $200 for it, making it a pretty affordable smartwatch that looks good at the same time.
