It goes without saying that millions of people are looking forward to Gears of War 4. It would be an understatement to say that this is a popular franchise. The latest from the studio head for Gears of War 4 is going to make it even harder for fans to wait. He says that Gears of War 4 is going to be a “graphical showcase” for the Xbox One.
Microsoft showed off Gears of War 4 last year at the E3 convention and even then it impressed those who saw the preview. Much work has been done on the title since then and the studio head is promising that when the game finally arrives later this year it’s going to be one of the best looking games for Xbox One.
Speaking to the Official Xbox Magazine U.S. Rod Fergusson, the studio head of Gears of War 4, said that the idea behind this title was to give the fans the essence of previous Gears of War games that they already know and love, with some fresh new elements to improve the overall experience.
Fergusson dropped hints that Gears of War 4 multiplayer will run at 60 frames-per-second but didn’t outright confirm it. The benchmark is not impossible to achieve, many games have already hit it, so it won’t really be surprising if Gears of War 4 hits it too particularly when it’s being hailed as a visual delight for Xbox One.
Gears of War 4 multiplayer beta will go live this spring with a full release scheduled for the fall.
