It was only a few weeks back that Square Enix confirmed it will release Final Fantasy IX for PC and mobile devices. That announcement didn’t come as a surprise since Square Enix has already released ports of previous Final Fantasy titles for both platforms. It has released Final Fantasy IX for iOS and Android today.
This PlayStation classic is now available at a discount until February 21st, it can be purchased for 20 percent off its regular price, Final Fantasy IX is readily available for purchase and download from the App Store and Google Play Store.
The mobile version of this game brings some new features that include no encounter modes and high-speed. Players will also get the ability to autosave progress, achievements have been added to the title as well. Graphics have been updated for mobile but they still closely remember that of the original game.
Even though Square Enix has announced that it’s going to release the port for both mobile devices and Windows PC, so far it has only released it for iOS and Android. There’s no word as yet on precisely when the PC port is going to be released, Square Enix says it will arrive in “early 2016,” so the release can’t be that far off.
Final Fantasy IX is available for download immediately from the App Store and Google Play Store.
