According to Howard, “We want to get it up on PC and have it work. It’ll probably be a good month before it hits Xbox One, and another month for PlayStation 4.” Like we said, despite its unofficial status, there are plenty of Fallout 4 mods out there for players to choose from. For example we’ve seen mods that lets players play as characters from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
There was also a mod that turned the game into The Last of Us, just to name a few. Apart from the official support from Bethesda, along with updates and possibly new features, we doubt having official mod support will have too big of an impact on the modding community, but it’s nice to have Bethesda backing them at least.
The support is expected to launch after the game’s first DLC has been released, which last we heard was due in March and is called Automatron.
