DJI makes some of the most popular drones available on the market today, not to mention some of the most expensive, and it’s aware of the fact that not everybody can expertly fly drones. It’s not uncommon for new users to crash and damage their drones, that’s the last thing they want to happen to a $1000 drone, and now DJI has come up with a new repair service that’s going to put their mind at ease.
DJI Care is the new repair service that DJI has launched for its drones. The repair service is available for purchase with new or existing drones, however, the hardware covered under this program only includes the Phantom 3 Standard, Phantom 3 4K, Phantom 3 Advanced, Phantom 3 Professional and Inspire 1 version 2.0 with X3 gimbal camera.
“By introducing DJI Care, we want to provide our customers with peace of mind and a worry-free flight experience. This program will also encourage more people to explore aerial technology and learn about the fun and potential of flying our drones,” said Frank Wang, founder, and CEO of DJI.
Customers who are interested in this repair service will have to pay $99 for six months of coverage or $129 for the whole year on the Phantom 3 standard. Pricing varies per product so Inspire I version 2.0 owners have to pay $499 to cover their device for six months.
