Gaming and toys are two unique lines that tend to overlap one another – after all, if there is money to be made, why not make hay while the sun still shines? LEGO has seen its fair share of tie-ins with movie and video game franchises (ala Star Wars: The Force Awakens LEGO game), rolling in the bling for quite some time now, so it is not a surprise at all to hear that Mega Bloks are currently developing a range of Destiny construction sets.
It is said that these toys will feature “our most detailed micro action figure yet,” according to Mega Bloks, in addition to vehicles like the jumpship that you see right above. There are also many other offerings that one can check out from Mega Bloks’ Destiny line in the Toy Fair video right at the top of the post, where they include the likes of Walkers, Fallen Captains and Shanks; Guardians and their Ghosts; and weapons.
So far, we do know that Mega Bloks has been in partnership with Destiny publisher Activision for some time already, where their previous collaboration resulted in a collection of Call of Duty toys three years ago, while other video game-based Mega Bloks lines comprise of Assassin’s Creed, Halo and Skylanders. No specific timeline has been set yet for Destiny Mega Bloks other than “later this year”.
