Bugatti confirmed back in December last year that it would unveil the successor to the Veyron, called Bugatti Chiron, at the Geneve Motor Show 2016. The new hypercar is named after Louis Alexandre Chiron who played a major role in establishing Bugatti’s luxury lineup. The new car has been unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show and here we have the official Bugatti Chiron price and pictures for our readers.
The 8-liter W16 engine of the Veyron has been completely redesigned for the Chiron and kitted with four big turbochargers to provide a maximum output of 1,500 horsepower.
That’s enough to propel the car from 0-62 mph in just 2.5 seconds. The top speed of the Bugatti Chiron has been capped at 260 miles per hour even though it can go much faster than that. You can’t expect to run at such high speeds on regular tires. The shoes of this new Bugatti have been developed in partnership with Michelin.
Bugatti Veyron was a luxury hypercar and the Chiron takes it up several notches. The interior is luxuriously appointed in the finest leather and a sound system so good that the company calls the car “the world’s faster concert hall.” There are one-carat diamond membrane in each of the four tweeters inside this hypercar.
Bugatti is only going to produce 500 units of the Chiron and it has already sold a third of them, it goes without saying that the rest will be bought up soon enough. Unless you have very deep pockets you might have to stick to wallpapers of this beauty because the Bugatti Chiron price is an eye-watering $2.6 million.
