With Apple introducing pressure-sensitive displays to the iPhone 6s/6s Plus last year, it was not surprising to see a torrent of rumors shortly after to indicate that other handset makers would be following suit with pressure sensitive displays as well. So far the only Android OEM to offer such a feature is Huawei, although there were rumors that Samsung could hop on board as well.
It looks like the rumors could be true because according to a leaked brochure for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, it has indicated that the upcoming phone will indeed pack a pressure-sensitive display. However it is possible that the brochure might simply be speculating what phone could feature, so take it with a grain of salt.
So far leaks and rumors of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have been making their rounds pretty steadily, and unfortunately that also means that there is little left to the imagination about the upcoming phone. What we have learnt so far is that the phones will feature 5.1-inch and 5.5-inch displays respectively.
We have also heard that they could be powered by Snapdragon 820 chipsets or Exynos chipsets, depending on the region, and that they will feature 12MP cameras with larger sensors, and more powerful speakers, just to name a few. In case check back with us this Sunday where all will be officially revealed.
