If you’re looking for more smartphones from the likes of Acer, you will be pleased to learn that the company has recently announced their latest smartphone in the form of the Acer Liquid Jade 2. While Acer might not necessarily be known in the mobile industry for creating top of the line handsets, the Liquid Jade 2 is actually a pretty decent device.
For starters it sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED display. Its resolution is Full HD which is unfortunate since we would have preferred QHD, but it should be good enough for most users. Its display is also supposed to be legible even under sunlight, thanks to the use of Zero Air Gap technology. It sports a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass screen and the front panel has a metallic touch to it.
Under the hood, the Liquid Jade 2 is not the most powerful phone, but it is pretty decent thanks to its Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset. It is also accompanied by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. According to Acer, they are boasting a hybrid storage of up to 1TB. Basically this combines local storage on the phone with cloud storage and integrates them together, so in a way it is almost like the Nextbit Robin in certain aspects.
As for the camera, the phone will feature a 21MP rear-facing camera that uses phase detection autofocus. It can even capture 4K video, and its camera software comes with a professional mode that lets users tweak settings like white balance, exposure, ISO, and more. Pricing and availability are unknown and will vary from region to region.
